Statistics 480: Introduction to Probability and Statistics (Honors)
  • Synopsis: This course is an introduction to the concepts of statistics with a strong emphasis on the understanding and appreciation of the role of statistics in real life situations including computer analysis of real data. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability distributions, experimental design, hypothesis testing including ANOVA, non-parametric tests, and regression and correlation.   • Prerequisites: Admission to Honors Program, Math 120 with C or better, or eligibility as determined by the assessment process.
