Application Period: November – March. For 2010, applications and supporting documents are due by March 1, 2010 Chemistry Scholarships for African American, Hispanic, and American Indian Students ACS awards renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards of up to $5,000* are given to qualified students based on academic standing, financial need, career objective, leadership skills, and involvement in school activities and community service. If you are an African American, Hispanic, or American Indian pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology, you may be eligible. Eligibility RequirementsTo be considered for a scholarship through the ACS Scholars Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
*Please note that students intending to enter Pre-Med programs or pursuing a degree in Pharmacy are not eligible for this scholarship.
